Caddie
Hi! I'm Caddie — your AI copilot for CAD.
Developer Alpha

Get unstuck.
Design faster.

Caddie lives inside your CAD software, reads your design in real time, and gives specific answers referencing your actual feature names, sketches, and mates. No copy-pasting. No tab switching.

Try asking Caddie
"Why is my loft failing?" "Review this part before machining" "How do I mate for single-axis rotation?" "Walk me through CSWA prep on this sketch" "What does Boss-Extrude3 do?"

See Caddie in action.

Real scenarios CAD engineers face every day.

🔧
Debugging

Stop searching forums.

Your sketch shows dangling relations after renaming a reference plane. Instead of searching StackOverflow for an hour, ask Caddie — it sees your feature tree and tells you exactly which relation to delete and what to replace it with.

My sketch has a dangling relation after I renamed Top Plane
In Boss-Extrude1 sketch, the coincident relation on line 3 references the old plane name. Right-click it → Delete Relation → re-add Coincident to Top Plane.
🎓
Certification

Study with your model open.

Wherever you are — starting from scratch, preparing for CSWA, advancing to CSWP, tackling a CSWPA specialty, or aiming for CSWE — Caddie walks you through exercises step by step with your actual model in context. Works for every supported CAD platform.

I'm starting CSWA prep — what should I practice first?
Start with fully-defined sketches — they're the foundation of every CSWA question. Open a part, constrain a profile sketch, and I'll check your work as you go.
🔍
Model Review

Catch issues before your supervisor does.

One click runs a full model review — rebuild errors, naming conventions, dangling references, and design intent issues — all prioritized by severity so you know what to fix first.

Review my model for issues before I send it to the team
3 issues found:
🔴 Sketch3 has external ref to deleted edge
🟡 5 features use default names (Extrude1…)
🟢 Configuration naming looks good

Designed for how engineers actually work.

Three principles that most AI tools miss entirely.

📊
Context-Aware AI

Before answering, Caddie reads your feature tree, active configuration, selection state, rebuild errors, and takes a live viewport screenshot. Every answer references your actual model — not a textbook example.

🔄
Always Up to Date

Caddie notifies you inside SolidWorks when a new version is ready. One download, ten seconds to apply — no re-registration needed. You never need to check a website.

🔒
Private by Default

All conversation history, notes, and preferences are stored in SQLite on your PC. No account needed, no telemetry, no analytics — confidential designs stay confidential.

💬
Smart Chat

Ask anything about your model. Caddie answers with specific references to your feature names, sketches, and mates.

🎓
Full Certification Path

From zero to expert — CSWA → CSWP → CSWPA → CSWE, and equivalent paths for every supported CAD platform.

🖼
Teach Me From Image

Drop a screenshot of any model and Caddie generates a complete SolidWorks build plan.

🧠
Persistent Memory

Caddie remembers your modeling style and project notes — all stored locally on your machine.

Up and running in under 5 minutes.

Caddie runs entirely inside your CAD software as a native add-in. No browser, no copy-paste, no context switching.

1

Install the add-in

Run CaddieSetup.exe and click through the wizard. Enable Caddie under Tools → Add-Ins. No account needed.

2

Open your model

Open any part, assembly, or drawing. Caddie automatically captures your feature tree, configuration, and a viewport screenshot.

3

Ask anything

Type your question. Caddie responds with specific advice referencing your actual feature names, sketches, and mates.

What engineers are saying.

"Caddie saved me 45 minutes on a loft failure I'd been fighting all morning. It saw exactly which sketch had the broken guide curve."
